" Silver Certificate Cufflinks " Item # ST105
$ 69.50
Our unique, vintage silver certificate cufflinks
are made from authentic US currency! Printed from 1878 to 1964, these
bills were
originally redeemable upon demand for silver coin or bullion. Identifiable
by their blue Treasury seal, this seal was changed to
red after 1965. Interestingly, during WWII some seals were printed in
brown and yellow for distribution in Hawaii and North Africa.
The idea was to limit monetary losses if large amounts of currency fell into
enemy hands. Each pair of silver certificate cufflinks are
individually handmade, and covered in crystal clear acrylic to protect
from elements and damage. Certificate of authenticity included. Gift
boxed.

" Two Dollar Bill Cufflinks " Item # ST65
$ 69.50
Our unique two dollar bill cufflinks are made from
authentic US currency! The bill is still printed today (although one
printing
lasts many years) and is still relatively rare because of the low numbers
printed and the tendency for collectors to hoard the note.
Interestingly all cash registers are still built to accommodate this extra note
(even though rolls of coins are stashed in its place) and most
bill readers on vending machines recognize the note even though this isn't
displayed. Each pair of vintage two dollar bill cufflinks
are individually
handmade (bills date from the 1950's) and are covered in crystal clear acrylic to protect
from
elements and damage. Certificate of authenticity included. Gift
boxed.
